This visa allows you to

General skilled migration (189, 190, 491, 485)

The General Skilled Migration (GSM) visas is the most popular route for migration to Australia. These visas allow you to live, work and study in Australia, permanently, or in some circumstances, on a temporary basis until the requirements for permanent residency are met.

There are two main lists of skilled occupation demand lists MLTSSL and STSOL introduced by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.

Subclass 189 Skilled Independent Visa

This visa allows you to

  • Work, study and live in Australia permanently
  • Enrol in Medicare
  • Sponsor your relatives to come to Australia
  • Travel to and from Australia
  • If eligible, become an Australian citizen

*Need to score minimum 65 points to be eligible to apply under this stream.

Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated Visa

This visa allows you to

  • Work, study and live in Australia permanently
  • Enrol in Medicare
  • Sponsor your relatives to come to Australia
  • Travel to and from Australia
  • If eligible, become an Australian citizen

*Need to score minimum 60 points plus 5 points are awarded by state to be eligible applicants.

Subclass 491 Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa

  • Work, study and live in a specified regionin Australia for 5 years
  • Travel to and from Australia
  • Apply for permanent residence after 3 years

*Need to score minimum 50 points plus 15 bonus points are awarded by state to be eligible applicants. This subclass has been popular for the applicants with low points and has pathway to permanent residency.

Subclass 887 Skilled Regional Visa

This visa allows you to

  • Work, study and live in Australia permanently
  • Enrol in Medicare
  • Sponsor your relatives to come to Australia
  • Travel to and from Australia
  • If eligible, become an Australian citizen

*Permanent residency route for applicants currently on visa 489, must have fulfilled the requirement to live 2 years and work for 1 year in specified region in Australia before applying this visa.

Subclass 485 Temporary Graduate Visa

  • Live in Australia, usually for 18 months to 4 years, depending on your qualification
  • Travel, work or study in Australia during your stay.

Subclass 600 Visitor Visa

This visa allows you to

  • Stay of 3, 6 or 12 months in Australia.
  • Visit family or friends in Australia.

Partner visa

Subclass 300 Prospective Marriage Visa

This is for applicants to are intending to get married to an Australian. You must be sponsored by your fiancé. This visa allows you to stay up to 9 months in Australia. You should marry your fiancé before your Prospective Marriage visa (subclass 300) expires and apply for a Partner visa onshore.

309/100 Partner Visa Offshore Partner

 This is a provisional visa allows the application to enter Australia and will be converted in to permanent residency once you have met the condition of the visa. Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen can sponsor this visa to their spouse or partner residing outside Australia.

820/801 Partner visa Onshore Partner

 This is a provisional visa allows the application to enter Australia and will be converted in to permanent residency once you have met the condition of the visa. Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen can sponsor this visa to their spouse or partner residing in Australia.
